Watson to Offer In-house E-discovery Experience and Best Practices to Fortune 500 Customers
SEATTLE — April 12, 2007 — Attenex Corp., a leading e-discovery software provider, today announced that Ashley B. Watson has joined Attenex as vice president and general counsel. In this role she will utilize her past experience as counsel for BellSouth to assist Attenex corporate customers in creating an in-house program and repeatable processes for e-discovery.
“Corporations are eager to take control of their e-discovery chaos but often don’t know where to begin,” said Kimra Hawley, CEO of Attenex. “Ashley Watson helped build the BellSouth e-discovery program from the ground up and understands how to develop and execute an e-discovery plan that meets the needs of IT, legal and executive management. We are very pleased that Ashley is joining our team and she’ll be a huge asset as we continue to grow our Fortune 500 customer list.”
Prior to Attenex, Watson was the senior litigation counsel in BellSouth’s Complex Litigation Group, where she served as lead counsel on the company’s most significant litigation and also developed BellSouth’s process for preserving documents and handling electronic discovery. Prior to BellSouth, Ashley worked in private practice at several AMLAW 100 law firms, focusing on complex commercial litigation and employment matters.
“Corporations are seeking practical and actionable guidance on how to take control of their e-discovery program and reduce the risk and costs associated with data management and discovery,” said Ashley B. Watson. “Attenex is changing the way corporations manage data and discovery, and I am very excited to be a part of helping corporations transform the burdens of litigation and investigations through repeatable e-discovery processes.”
