Attenex® Patterns® E-Discovery Suite Offers Dynamic Integrated Analysis Applications for Accelerated Response to Discovery Requests, Internal Investigations and Regulatory Response Projects
SEATTLE — Feb. 22, 2006 — Attenex® Corp. (www.attenex.com), the leading developer of content analysis software for electronic discovery, today released the latest version of its proven e-discovery software suite, Attenex Patterns® . This release of Attenex Patterns integrates new content analysis features for the rapid and accurate identification of relevant information in large volumes of unstructured information such as email or electronic documents.
“The traditional approach to electronic discovery can make it difficult for attorneys and their support staff to understand data in context,” said George Socha, Socha Consulting. “To increase efficiency and accuracy, corporations and their law firms need to understand the context behind the information, such as relationships between people, events, time, documents and communication patterns. Analysis technologies can give inside and outside counsel more control over electronic discovery by adding clarity before and during the review process.”
The latest version of Attenex Patterns provides new methods for analyzing large collections of electronic information, including a social network view that displays e-mail communication flows to and from individuals or domains. Other new views include a timeline view that displays volume of information chronologically and cluster folders that dynamically organize the document collection based on concepts.
“The new features and enhancements in Attenex Patterns software extend the Attenex value proposition of reducing the time and expense of electronic discovery,” said Mike Kinnaman, vice president of marketing at Attenex. “The ability to concurrently analyze the ‘who, what and when’ of the document collection leads to valuable insights and more rapid identification of key information that can be missed by a traditional approach. The dynamic and integrated views in Attenex Patterns identify conceptually related email and electronic documents and provide immediate analysis of how an individual document or group of documents relates to discovered timelines or communication networks resident in the document collection.”
“For most organizations, the lack of a consistent risk management framework leaves a lot of important and timely information trapped in documents and in people’s heads,” writes Barry Murphy, consulting analyst, Forrester Research, in his January 2006 report titled Information Management 101. “Effective information management not only helps make business operations more efficient, but also mitigates risk. Most organizations are so busy just trying to manage structured information that they haven’t yet addressed unstructured content—much less given enough attention to litigation risk associated with information.”
Attenex Patterns software is available as a packaged application and is also offered as a hosted solution by a global network of legal service providers and consulting organizations.
