Attenex Appoints New CEO to Support Continued Growth

Seattle, WA (March 9, 2004) – Attenex Corp., an electronic discovery software provider for the legal services industry, announced today that Brian Schlosser has been named Chief Executive Officer, and that Skip Walter will assume the role of Chief Technology Officer.

Previously, Schlosser was the founder and CEO of Interimage, Inc. a sales support company focused on delivering training, product integration and customization for advanced imaging solutions. He served as vice president of sales and marketing for ImageTag Inc., where he developed and implemented the company’s sales methodology in addition to forging agreements with key distribution partners. Prior to ImageTag, Schlosser was a vice president of sales at FileNET Corporation.

“Brian is the smart choice for Attenex,” said Walter. “We looked at many candidates, but no one brought as much to the table as Brian. His skills and experience are a perfect fit for Attenex as we build out our operations and continue to experience rapid growth.”

“I was immediately impressed by the positive feedback from customers and service providers about their experience with not only Attenex software, but also the people at Attenex,” said Schlosser. “Attenex is well-positioned in the electronic discovery market, and I am very excited about the opportunities ahead.”

As Chief Technology Officer, Walter will focus on preserving and enhancing the technological advantages inherent to Attenex software. “Electronic discovery will continue to challenge litigators as the volume of data involved in litigation continues to increase,” said Schlosser. “As CTO, Skip will be 100% focused on uncovering innovations and efficiencies that increase productivity while further reducing the risk and expense of electronic discovery in existing and emerging marketplaces.”

About Attenex Patterns E-Discovery Platform

Attenex dramatically reduces the time, expense and risk of electronic discovery with integrated and uniquely intuitive tools that simplify data management and accelerate review. Attenex Patterns E-Discovery Platform software improves the quality of review and enables review teams to rapidly review large volumes of electronic information while preserving the legal chain of custody. Instead of treating electronic documents solely as bodies of text that can be indexed and keyword searched, Attenex Patterns approaches them as collections of concepts. The software then displays them in the aggregate as a visual map showing clusters of conceptually related documents. This allows attorneys and legal practitioners to review and make high-quality decisions on a much higher volume of documents per hour, quickly separating the clearly relevant from the clearly irrelevant documents. These efficiencies provide law firms and corporations with a way to proactively manage the time and cost associated with the review of potentially discoverable documents.

Attenex Patterns software is currently available through Attenex and select legal service providers, including Forensics Consulting Solutions (www.forensicsconsulting.com), KPMG Forensic Technology Services (www.us.kpmg.com/microsite/fts), LIT Group (www.litgroup.com), Merrill Corporation (www.merrillcorp.com), and Security Assurance Group (www.securityassurancegroup.com).
